About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Customer Service Representation to help our CS team continue to offer world-class service and education to our community. North Spore is known for having a great customer service team. We are proud to offer accessible, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service. This is a full-time, initially hybrid position. Hours are Thursday-Sunday, 9:30AM - 8:00PM (4 ten-hour days). You are required to be on site at our Portland, Maine facility every Thursday and Friday for your work day, and may be required to come on site up to 40 hrs per week, depending on need.
The position includes assisting customers with product, order and fungi questions on many channels such as live phone support, email, live chat, and social media. We act as liaisons to provide information and resolve any questions that our customers might face. Our mission is to make the world of mushrooms accessible to all! Our CS is different from other companies in that we engage in a very large amount of education as our community seeks to learn and experiment.
Pay starts at $18/hr with a two month probationary period. For the weekend days, there is a $2.50/hr differential applied. This results in an average wage of $19.25 for your work week. Requirements
▹ Ability to work in person at the office 50-100% of work hours.
▹ Ability to work at a computer, on the phone, or otherwise be digitally engaged with customers for 40 hours per week.
▹ At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably digital and/or phone.
▹ Knowledge of fungi and mushroom cultivation; 2 years of professional experience in mushroom cultivation can substitute the customer service experience requirement given a clear willingness to be trained on customer service.
